Table Mat times ten

A friend asked for table mats for an upcoming event. So I had fun using orphan blocks and creating new from scratch items too.

In the process I have decided a string quilt is in my future sometime this year. Loved the way it turned out. One of those projects I had been wanting to try. Glad I was able to use several of the pieces left from other projects too. Hate to have the orphans hanging around and getting lost in the stash. Great to be able to use them to start a project without just starting at square one.

Tote bag with Alley Cat from Hatched in Africa A friend of mine asked if I could do this cat design she found. We purchased it and I finally got around to starting the project. Design is from Hatched-in-Africa. An appliqué in the hoop design. Stitched out wonderfully. I made this the backside of the bag.
