Here is a closeup look at how the ruffles adds dimension to the quilt.
Oh my this picture just does not do justice to the quilt top. Can't wait to layer and attempt to quilt while I am here. Well, maybe I will work on it when I get home.
This one is so vibrant, I will take another picture and post it tomorrow. This is the my project for the SPRV Quilt Class. Oh I hope Janet doesn't see it before I get it quilted. She might make me work on some items. But I really like it, so it will get finished and go on our wall here.
I finally spent a full day in the sewing room! Yeah!
This is what happened when I found this cute butterfly fabric to use for the charity quilt this month. However, what happened was not what I started out to construct. I put the fabrics in a stack and started cutting out strips with the rotary cutter. Well, cut one was fine, but cute two should have been a different size......so I ended up with bordered squares. Even then I had to raid the stash to get enough borders and blocks to make the size needed.
I think it turned out great, even though it is not at all what I planned on creating. It is one of those that I had a hard time letting loose of. But it should be in Oregon at a Children's Hospital with many prayers attached as it was made.
Spring Green is the pattern name for this 38x38 inch throw, table topper, lap quilt.

Found this fabric in Sebring Florida at the Crafty Ladies quilt shop. Just couldn't leave it there on the shelf. So here is a cute little baby quilt to cuddle some sweet new baby.
