The main fabric here reminds me of the orange and vanilla on a stick from the ice cream store (Cliff's) I used to eat as a kid.
The blocks are a sampler made of patterns provided for our park quilt and a miss make of a recent Missouri Star Quilt block, and the Dresden "flower" was made with varied sized templates. Card trick, baskets, 8 pointed star, butterflies with the drunkard's path, maple leaf, Ohio Star, Sea Star-Urchin from Thangles, fans, and paper-pieced hexagon flower (from Paper Pieces). A fun quilt allowing me to use some of the templates I have collected over time and never used. Of course, I adapted some of the blocks that were presented by our teacher and others I just found blocks I wanted to try and put them in.
The fabrics were won from L&L Yard Goods when I turned in my Row by Row 2015 quilt before anyone else did. Thanks Lenora. Enjoyed working with these fabrics.
I will quilt this one later. Likely to be shown at the shown in the park show as just a top.
